First payment for a paid plan
The three setup steps a paid sign-up walks through - account type and invoice details, package, payment - and the paused and suspended screens.
A new account on a paid plan is activated by paying for it. A free account skips all of this: it is active from sign-up and does not see this screen. Until it is paid for, the account can read the product but not connect accounts, publish or use AI. The screen at /app/pending ("Welcome, {your organisation}") walks you through three short steps: sign-up asked for none of your company details, so the invoice details are collected here, before the first payment. You are taken there after signing up or logging in while the account is not yet active, and the yellow banner at the top of every other screen ("Your account is waiting for its first payment. Pay, or start free, in the setup steps - publishing and AI unlock at once.") brings you back.
Step by step
The step bar at the top shows 1. Details, 2. Package and 3. Payment (or 3. Status once there is nothing to pay). Click a finished step to go back to it.
- Details: first "Who is this account for?" - choose Individual, Company or Agency (required; the fields appear once you have chosen). Then the invoice details (Company details, or Your details for an individual): Registered company name, Commercial registration number and Country for a company or agency; Main contact and Country for an individual - then Continue. Under the heading: "Asked now because a paid plan produces a tax invoice. A free account never needs these." The button stays disabled while the type is not chosen or a required field is empty, and the line under it says "Still needed: ..." with the missing fields. This step is shown again on every visit until the type is chosen and the details are saved, even when the fields were filled in another way.
- Package: every package is shown as a card with its monthly price (plus VAT where it applies) and its allowances: posts a month, AI generations, connected accounts, workspaces and members per workspace. Click Start free or Choose {plan}. Start free activates the account at once and takes you to Accounts. A package marked "Priced on request." has Talk to us instead, which opens our company page in a new tab. Your choice is marked Your choice; "Saving your choice…" shows while it is saved.
- Payment (for a paid package), "Pay for {plan}": Pay for {plan} and activate now opens the secure card page; paying activates the account at once, with no review. Change package goes back to step 2. Pay later - start free starts the Free plan right now (approved at once) and takes you to Accounts; you can upgrade at any time from Settings, Plan & usage.
- Status ("Your account is waiting for approval"): shown only if the account is still not active after the steps above, which is rare. It says we will email you the moment it is approved and that nothing else is needed. From here: Pay for {plan} and activate now (if you chose a paid package), Check again, Change package, Edit details and Log out.
Fields and options
The details step shows these fields (company and agency see all of them; an individual sees only those marked "all"): - Registered company name (required, company/agency) - Commercial registration number (required, company/agency) - VAT / tax number (optional, company/agency) - Main contact (required, all) - Country (required, all) - City (optional, all) - Contact phone (optional, all) - Industry (optional, company/agency) - Address (optional, company/agency) - Website (optional, all)
"These go on your tax invoices, so please copy them from the registration." Individuals: "Your name and country go on your invoices."
What happens next
- A free account never waits here: choosing Start free (or Pay later - start free) activates it at once. A paid package is active the moment it is paid for; the OmniBrand team can also approve an unpaid account and emails you when it does.
- When the account is approved (or paid for) while this screen is open, Check again takes you into the product: to Accounts, or to Settings, Plan & usage if you had chosen a paid package that is not paid yet. An account that is already active and clicks a plan on the pricing page lands on Settings, Plan & usage with that plan's checkout opened, not here.
- A reason may be shown as "Reason given: ..." if the review team left a note.
If something goes wrong
- "The payment was not completed. Nothing was charged; you can try again whenever you like." You cancelled or left the card page; try again from the payment step.
- "The package list could not be loaded. Check your connection and try again." Click Check again next to it.
- This account was not approved or This account is suspended: the screen says "Contact the OmniBrand team if you think this is wrong." and may show the reason. Use Check again after the team has answered, or Log out. See Contacting support.
- Your account is paused - payment needed: "The subscription was not paid, so publishing and editing are paused. Nothing has been deleted." Click Go to billing and pay; everything comes straight back once paid.
Good to know
- If a payment is started without the invoice details, the card page is refused with "Add your invoice details first. They are under Settings › Company details." and the wizard returns to the Details step with "Add the invoice details, then pay again."; the same details, and the account type, are editable later under Settings, Company details.
- You can change the package at any later time under Settings, Plan. Prices are on the pricing page.
