Your data, workspace deletion and account deletion
Download your own data, archive or delete a workspace, and how the founding owners delete the whole account (30 days, cancellable).
Download your own data
- Open the avatar at the top right, then Your account (/app/account).
- In Your data, click Download my data.
- A file named omnibrand-my-data.json downloads with everything OmniBrand holds about you: profile, memberships and your activity.
Contacts and inbox conversations belong to the workspace, not to you. To take contacts out as a spreadsheet, use Export CSV on Contacts (/app/contacts), which needs the Export contacts task; see Contacts.
Export a whole workspace
Owners and admins can download everything in the workspace they have open. 1. Open Settings, General (/app/settings), card Export workspace data. 2. Click Export workspace data. The export is built in the background; the button reads "Preparing export…" and the list below it shows the export as Waiting or Preparing. 3. When it shows Ready, click Download. You get one JSON file with the workspace's contacts, conversations and messages, content, campaigns, brand profile, accounts (never their passwords or tokens), members and settings. The download link is short-lived; open the page again for a fresh one. 4. Only one export runs at a time per workspace. A failed export shows Failed with the reason; try again. 5. An in-app notification ("Data exports") tells you when it is ready.
Archive or delete a workspace
Only an Owner of that workspace can do this, on Workspaces (/app/workspaces). 1. Make a different workspace active first: Archive is offered only on workspaces that are not the one you have open (that row says "To archive this workspace, make another one active first."). 2. Click Archive on the workspace. It gets an Archived badge, disappears from the workspace selector and accepts no changes. Unarchive brings it back unchanged. 3. To delete it for good, it must have been archived for 24 hours; until then Delete is greyed out and the row says "Delete available from {date and time}". Then click Delete on it. 4. A box asks you to type the workspace's identifier (shown under its name, after /). Type it exactly and confirm.
Deleting removes the workspace with all its content, accounts and history, and cannot be undone. You cannot delete the only workspace in the account; create another one first.
Delete the whole account
This removes every workspace, account, contact and message in the account. 1. Only the account's founding owners can ask for it. Others see "Only an owner of the account's first workspace can request this." instead of the form. The founding owners are, in this order: - the active Owners of the account's first workspace (the first one created, even if it was renamed); - if that workspace has no active Owner, the person who created the account, as long as they are still active and an Owner of any workspace in it; - otherwise, the one active Owner who has been an Owner the longest. Owning a workspace created later (for example one an Admin made for a client) never makes someone a founding owner while an earlier rule still applies. 2. Open Your account (/app/account), section Your data, Delete the whole account. 3. The card shows the identifier after "To confirm, type this account's identifier:" (it is also on Settings, Company details, as "Account identifier:"). Type it into Type the account identifier; Request deletion stays disabled until it matches. 4. Click Request deletion. The page shows "Deletion scheduled for ..." with a Cancel deletion button. 5. Every owner in the account receives an email saying the account will be deleted in 30 days, with the date. 6. Until that date the account keeps working normally. After it, everything is deleted. Tax invoices are kept as the law requires.
Cancel a pending deletion
Any owner or admin can withdraw the request before the date: open Your account, section Your data. While a deletion is pending, every owner and admin sees "Deletion scheduled for ..." and Cancel deletion there, in any browser; click it. Other roles see the date and a note to ask an owner or admin.
Good to know
- Disconnecting an account also withdraws OmniBrand's access on the platform's side.
- The public data deletion and privacy pages describe what is stored, where and for how long.
