Workspace timezone and link tracking
Set the timezone every schedule in the workspace runs on, the currency WhatsApp cost estimates are shown in, and whether published links get UTM parameters.
Both cards are on Settings, section General (/app/settings). They apply only to the workspace you have open; its name is shown under the Workspace card title ("Settings for ..., the workspace you have open."). Only an owner or admin can change them; everyone else sees the values greyed out with "Only an owner or admin can change the timezone." or "Only an owner or admin can change link tracking."
Timezone
Everything scheduled in the workspace runs on this zone: posting queues and slot times, the daily digest, best-time-to-post suggestions, evergreen recycling and Market Watch drafts. New workspaces start on UTC, so set it once when you begin.
- Open Settings, section General.
- In the Workspace card, open Timezone and pick your zone. Each entry shows its current offset, for example Asia/Riyadh (+03:00).
- The change saves at once; "Timezone saved" appears under the list.
- Shortcut: if your computer is in a different zone from the workspace, the card says "Your device is in ..." with a Use my device timezone button. Click it to switch the workspace to your computer's zone.
Currency for WhatsApp message costs
The Estimated cost box in WhatsApp broadcasts opens in this currency. It is for display only: Meta bills your WhatsApp Business account in that account's own currency, and OmniBrand never converts one currency into another (see WhatsApp costs, limits and free windows).
- Open Settings, section General.
- In the Workspace card, open Currency for WhatsApp message costs and pick USD, SAR or AED.
- The change saves at once; "Currency saved" appears under the list.
Link tracking
When it is on, every link in a post gets UTM parameters at the moment it is published, so your web analytics show which platform, campaign and post brought each visit. The post itself is stored as you wrote it.
- Open Settings, section General, card Link tracking.
- Switch on Add UTM parameters to published links.
- Choose the options below. Each change saves at once and "Link tracking saved" appears.
- Check the line Example of a published link: it shows exactly what a link will look like.
Fields and options
- Timezone: an IANA zone name (Europe/London, Asia/Dubai...). Required; default UTC.
- Currency for WhatsApp message costs: USD, SAR or AED. Default USD.
- Add UTM parameters to published links: on or off. Off by default.
- utm_campaign comes from: The campaign name (or the post title when there is no campaign), The post title, or Nothing.
- utm_content: A short id of the published post, so two platforms stay apart, or Nothing.
- utm_medium: free text, up to 40 characters. Usually "social"; change it only if your analytics expect another value. Leaving it empty puts back "social".
- utm_source is always the platform name (for example instagram) and cannot be changed.
Good to know
- A link that already carries utm_ parameters is published as written.
- Times you see on screen are shown in your computer's timezone; the workspace timezone decides when automatic things (queues, digests, recycling) run.
- Workspaces themselves are created, switched, archived and deleted on Workspaces (/app/workspaces); see Your data, workspace deletion and account deletion for archiving and deleting.
