Removing OmniBrand in Instagram or Facebook, and data deletion

Where to remove OmniBrand in Instagram and Facebook, what OmniBrand then deletes and how fast, and how to follow a deletion request with its confirmation code.

Anyone who connected an Instagram account or a Facebook Page to OmniBrand can remove OmniBrand in Instagram's or Facebook's own settings. Meta then tells OmniBrand at once. This article says where to do it, what OmniBrand deletes, how long it takes, and how to follow the request.

Remove OmniBrand in Instagram

  1. In the Instagram app, open your profile, tap the menu and open Settings (in newer versions Settings and activity, then Website permissions).
  2. Tap Apps and websites, then the Active tab.
  3. Tap OmniBrand, then Remove.

On a computer the same list is on instagram.com under Settings → Apps and websites.

Remove OmniBrand in Facebook

  1. In Facebook, open Settings & privacy → Settings.
  2. Open Business Integrations.
  3. Tick OmniBrand, click Remove and confirm.

What OmniBrand does

  • At once: OmniBrand's access is deleted, and every account that person connected shows the Revoked badge on Accounts (/app/channels), in every workspace. Publishing and the inbox stop for those accounts.
  • When Meta also sends a data deletion request, OmniBrand deletes the account's inbox conversations, messages and comments, the events the platform sent for it, its follower statistics and post insights, and its profile picture link. This runs as soon as the request arrives, normally within minutes, and is always complete within 30 days.
  • What stays: the posts your team wrote and scheduled in OmniBrand (the workspace's own content), the account's name on Accounts with the Revoked badge, and invoices kept as the law requires. To take the account off the page, click Remove on its row; to delete everything, see Your data, workspace deletion and account deletion.

Follow a deletion request

  1. After the request, Meta shows the person a link and a confirmation code.
  2. The link opens the public data deletion page with the code, for example https://www.omnibrand.app/data-deletion?code=(the code).
  3. At the top, under Your deletion request, the page shows the request as Received, In progress or Completed, the date it was received and, once completed, the date it was completed.
  4. If the page says "We have no data deletion request with this confirmation code.", check that the whole link was copied, or email privacy@omnibrand.app with the code.

Use the account again

Click Reconnect on its row on Accounts and allow OmniBrand again. Inbox history deleted by a data deletion request does not come back.
