What the AI features need: your own key or included AI

Every feature marked ✦ in Create, AI Studio, Content, Media, Campaigns and Library sends your request to an AI provider. It can run in two ways.

Your own key

• An Owner or Admin adds a key from OpenAI, Anthropic, Google Gemini or xAI Grok under Settings, AI providers. See AI providers.
• The provider bills you directly. Work done on your own key is never counted against your package; AI Studio shows "Your own key · not counted against the package".
• Pictures need a provider that can draw (OpenAI, Gemini or Grok). Video needs a provider that can make video. The model list in AI Studio only shows what your keys and your package allow.

Included AI

• Your package can include a number of AI generations per month on OmniBrand's own keys. This is only available when OmniBrand has approved your account and enabled included AI for it.
• AI Studio shows how many are used: "N of M included generations used this month · resets (date)", or "Included generations: unlimited on this package".
• When the month's included generations are used up, purchased generations are used if you bought any. See Top-ups. Package sizes are on Pricing.
• When you have both, Owners and Admins choose in Settings which one is used first; included AI first is the default.

If something goes wrong

• "This account is waiting for approval. AI generation unlocks once the OmniBrand team approves it." — use your own key, or wait for approval.
• The pop-up AI generations are not included in your package ("The [plan] package includes no AI generations on OmniBrand's key. Choose a package that includes them, or add your own AI provider key - generations on your own key are never counted.") with Choose a package and Add my own AI key: your package (the Free plan, for example) has no included AI. Pick a package on Plan & usage, or add your own key; Not now closes it.
• "AI on the platform key is paused…", "Image generation on the platform key is paused…" or "Video generation on the platform key is paused…" — OmniBrand's text, image or video key is paused for a while (only that kind of AI stops); add your own key to continue now. In AI Studio with the model set to Auto, a picture or video is still made while its key is paused: a placeholder picture, or a video from the Built-in provider, labelled as such.
• "AI generation failed (…). Please try again in a moment." (or "AI rewrite failed", "AI hashtags failed", "AI ideas failed") — the included AI provider did not answer. The generation it would have used is given back, so nothing is counted. On your own key the message shows the provider's reason instead.
• A video on included AI that the provider could not make is made by the Built-in provider instead (the media library says so on the video); its 3 generations are given back.
• AI Studio says No AI provider is connected yet with Add an AI key in Settings — nothing can run until a key is added or included AI is enabled.
• "No (images / video) model is available yet. Add an OpenAI, Gemini or Grok key under Settings → AI providers." — your keys cannot do that kind of work.

Good to know

• A campaign plan on the Campaigns page counts as 3 generations when it runs on included AI.
• The AI writes from your brand profile when Brand voice is on, so tone and banned words apply without repeating them.
