Broadcasts: choosing a channel
The Broadcasts page lists the five kinds of broadcast, one per channel, and what each one is for.
A broadcast is one message sent to many people on one channel. Broadcasts (/app/broadcasts) is the simple menu's one entry for all of them: it opens a page titled Broadcasts with one card per channel. Click a card to open that channel's broadcasts page. In the full menu the five pages are listed one by one under Broadcasts instead (see Getting around the app).
The cards
- WhatsApp broadcasts: "Approved template messages to contacts who agreed to hear from you." Opens WhatsApp broadcasts; see WhatsApp broadcasts.
- Email broadcasts: "A one-off email to a list or segment of your contacts." Opens Email broadcasts; see Email broadcasts.
- Messenger broadcasts: "A message to everyone who wrote to your Facebook Page in the last 24 hours." Opens Messenger broadcasts; see Messenger and Instagram broadcasts.
- Instagram broadcasts: "A message to everyone who wrote to your Instagram account in the last 24 hours." Opens Instagram broadcasts; the same article explains it.
- Telegram broadcasts: "A message to everyone who started your Telegram bot." Opens Telegram broadcasts; see Telegram broadcasts.
A broadcast or a campaign?
A broadcast goes out on one channel. To reach one goal on several channels (for example a sale announced on WhatsApp, by email and in posts), use a campaign. Under the cards, "One goal on several channels? A campaign groups broadcasts, posts and ads." is followed by Open Campaigns, which opens Campaigns; it is shown to members who may create content. See Campaigns.
